Tutorial for creating M-range statistics

Postby kopax » Tue Dec 07, 2010 10:01 pm

Hello,

I have readen the topic here : Creating M-range statistics
I am actually trying to get this work but I really don't know anything about computers and how to make this work.
I want to see on my Hud on tournaments table, all M Factor of each players seat on the table.
For the moment I use the default HUD, with VP$IP, PR, AF, I want to see the M after the AF.

Please if anyone can explain me how to set it up, I would be really grateful!

See the Tutorial: Custom Reports and Statistics for how to build new versions of stats.
However, those are pretty complex stats to start with - you might find it easier to build a few simpler stats to get started, and then move onto more complex expressions like these.

These stats may already be available in Kraada's layout via the "Get More" section - he should be on later to confirm whether or not that is the case.

Do I have to read all these posts to maybe be able to display M factor on HUD?
I am not familiar with english, neither with postegre and developing
I am waiting for Kraada's information I hope it's going to be ok. However I would keep calculating with calc.exe

My post (and popup, which I can gladly email you if you would like) is about stats from within certain M zones - for example it shows a player's VP$IP when his M is less than 5.

If you just want to see his actual current M value, you only need to add the "M" stat to your HUD. You can do this in the Configure --> Configure HUD window, as explained in the HUD FAQ and linked documentation.

I have readen the entire post of the HUD FAQ.
But just for adding the "M", you have to read a few guides.
I can't directly Add the stats to my HUD because it doesn't exist with default config, you have to create it.
If I download your config, will the M be included?

What version of PT3 are you using? (see the title bar of PT3)
"M" is a built-in stat for tournaments in recent versions so you may need to update.

I use Poker Tracker 3.00 Build 4.
I can't update on my netbook, I install the latest version on my desktop, but with the netbook (the one I use the most), installation always application close while running hud (close), so i tried to copy the repertories of my desktop but problem remains.

Build 4 is very old at this point in time. What exactly is the error you are getting when you attempt to upgrade?

I have no error.
I can make the update, but the application crash when I start the autoimport.
The message is like :
Poker Tracker has stopped working

I am using windows seven ultimate 32 bits on a notebook n10jh.
Is there anyway to add the M in a older version?

No there is not.

If you have all of your stats on your desktop and your desktop is set up as you would like, the easiest thing may well be to backup your system on the desktop, completely uninstall PokerTracker 3 and PostgreSQL from your netbook, then install the new PT3 and reinstall PostgreSQL and restore from your desktop backup.
