Memory Grabber

Hi,

What are the functions of the 'memory grabber'? All I could find by searching is that it has something to do with observed HHs. What does it do and what is the bottom line for the user?

For PokerStars the memory grabber imports up to 30 observed hands per session, and places the stats on the table before any hands have been imported. If you don't need either of these features (for example if you're playing tournaments), you can feel free to disable it.

Is it possible to get stats on the first hand (with or without memory grabber) without writing the observed HHs to the DB or is this what it does? (i.e. to get regulars' stats on first hand not second, i'm not particularly concerned about a headstart on stats vs unknown players)

The memory grabber does that as well as getting the observed hands. If you don't want observed hands to be imported you can uncheck "import observed hands" on the Preferences tab and the hands won't be imported.
