I shut down the clustering of a million hands at the 25 hr mark and now my cashe says 58% is this going to cripple proformance? can I go back and recluster?

Clustering is not actually related to the cache, it does something else (which helps performance but not as much as updating the cache). I would recommend at last running a Cache Update (Database --> Housekeeping --> Cache Update) to get the cache to 100% as it will make a pretty big difference.

If your database is only 58% cached then it will actually be faster (currently) to Rebuild Cache rather than Update.
