PT3 for Mac -- should I come back?

Hi folks,

About 3-4 months ago I downloaded the trial of PT3 for Mac and used it for about a month. I was of course impressed with all of the features because I had been using a very dumbed down tracking program and HUD.

But ultimately, I had to stop using it because 1. It crashed constantly on startup (more specifically it hung, maybe after 5-10 different tries opening it it would work) 2. If, for example, I was done with a session and I would want to see how I had made out I would have to go into the program and press the refresh button, once I did that it would take about 5-7 minutes sitting there trying to refresh, than eventually I would get it. Of course that makes it impossible to see how you're doing while playing a session because it's just too slow.

So now I really want to go back to PT3, but I'm concerned that these issues might still exist, and since I'm out of trial time, it would be quite the leap of faith.

Thanks for the feedback!

There are no known mac crashing bugs on startup as far as I can tell.

Did you create any support tickets previously for your issues? If so I can check to see if they're marked as resolved. 5-7 minutes to refresh a report definitely seems slow, though if you used the Today filter that would almost certainly cut the time down quite a bit if it is a performance issue.

The former was closed at your request, the latter ended with our support technician giving you a link to a new version - I don't see anything about performance problems in the second one.

ok yeah I didn't even remember them that long ago but I did remember I created some.

It sounds like these things have been resolved -- the hang ups and crashes were the major bug, but if you say there havent been major major issues and its very stable then I believe you :D

We haven't seen any major issues like that no, and that is the sort of thing we would (obviously) want to fix as soon as possible.

The hanging still happens with the refreshing. It's really annoying and I don't feel like it has gotten anywhere near the amount of attention that it deserves.
