Without Blind stat

Postby dustkid » Wed Jun 23, 2010 4:53 am

I'm trying to figure out this "Without Blind" stat. I understand that it is the amount of money I would have made if you don't count the money posted as a blind.

What confuses me is why this stat is so much higher than the Amount Won stats for non-blind positions. Should these two stats be compared? Am I really making a higher profit from seats SB and BB, if it weren't for those pesky blinds?

The Without Blind stat is the sum of the amount you actually won plus the blinds you paid - this is going to result in some double counting.

Imagine you had AA in the BB and get it all in for 100BBs and win. Your amount won is +100BBs. Your Without Blind is +101BBs. It's true that very often you just lose your blind, but you do win a reasonable share also, so the Without Blind stat being bigger than your other Amount Wons is not unreasonable (it's like that for me, too).

Personally I think most important is looking at BB/hand from the blinds. So long as BB/hand from the BB is significantly better than -1 and BB/hand from the SB is significantly better than -.5, you're doing just fine.
