HUD....are the stats game specific?

Postby Howbout9to5 » Thu Jul 01, 2010 6:37 pm

Searched the fourm and didn't find a quick answer to a question which I am sure has been addressed in the past...
My question is this.....are the stats which my HUD displays for my opponents grouped together across differnet game types? For example, are my opponent's stats from 6 max NLH grouped together with their full ring 9/10 handed stats? I am aware that there is an option to have the HUD show only stats from the given level which you are playing, but I did not see if that was game specific.

Thanks in advance for all helpful replies.

yes all grouped together as default. Though it would be a nice feature to be able to choose to include only 6max if you are playing 6 max.. or only full ring when you are playing full ring.

In a similar vein, are all tourney stats lumped together. For instance, is rebuy MTT data lumped with, say, 2-table SnG data?

yes- all tournies are one giant lump re the hud. this needs to be addressed when they get to finally fixing the hud to make it right for tny players. so 6max superturboos are lumped with regular MTT's.

Feel free to add a +1 here...

You can use the Player Ranges option to display stats only from hands with similar numbers of players.

Sorry, that doesn't work at all. Whether there are 6 or 9 players at a table is a cash game criteria, not a tourney criteria. It appears that PT3 and HEM are in a pseudo race to develop better tourney support. The one who gets this right will dominate, imo.

Player Ranges affect both cash and tournament tables, as far as I'm aware.

Perhaps so, but the point I'm making is that to present meaningful data into the HUD then the source of that data has to compliment the tourney type. For instance, it is pointless presenting villain's data from a 10,000 player RA MTT into a HUD being used at at a 2 table SnG against the same villain... even if the buy in was the same and the table size was the same.
