i just don't get it! how do i configure HUD

I have tried. really! But i just can't seem to make the hud show what i want it to. i'm just trying things to see how this all works. Some questions.
1.In order to see the hud and any changes i make do I have to launch a poker room and play some hands online? i just end up sitting out of a table while i mess around with the hud.
2.I'm afraid to lose the default settings so i figured i would make a new profile to try different stats on. I added a new group to that profile and put 2 stats in that group, but nothing shows on the hud.Why?
3.How many different types of groups are there? On the configure hud profiles page, group tab, it shows player and popup types.

1. You can also use the HUD in the Replayer (when no import is running) so you can set up your stats there and then just position the groups at a live table.

2. You will need to tell the HUD at the table to use your new Profile - see the Tutorial: Managing HUD Profiles.

3. There are only "Player" (on-table) and "Popup" types, but Player groups can be displayed for different players (everyone, everyone but hero, hero only, table average). See the Tutorial: Managing HUD Groups for more information.

I have to join in on this one...this thing is doing my head in.
I have imported, i have setup all for full tilt and still i'm not getting any HUD on the full tilt tables.
whew...i have emailed to find out why but figured i'd try this as well.

I've read all your tutorials so i'm hoping the answer is more indept than thanks for paying and go read the tutuorials.

Shane – that sounds like a different issue? If you're not seeing the Hud that all after checking the FAQ: PT3 HUD please report your problem as it suggests - your log files should shows what is going on.
