I saw where there is a way to "rank" players based on the info "shark" "donkey" "atm" etc.

Is there a way to get that info to show up in the hud?

Yes - you can add the "Player Icon" stat to the HUD.

I'm transitioning from the old PT2 to the PT3. I can't for the life of me find where the player icon is to add to the HUD. I've been through every possible location, is it in the trial version? if so, where? Also, I used the tourney time window alot in PT2 but don't see anything like it in PT3, any suggestions, I'd like to be able to quickly get a look at all shown hands and PFRs. Thanks

In the Configure --> Configure HUD window, choose your profile at the top left. On the groups tab, click the Player Stats group, then switch to the Stats tab. In the list on the left, double click the Player Icon statistic and it will appear in the box on the top right - that's what will display on the HUD (you can change the order using the up and down arrows).

Please note that Player Icon is only available for cash games HUDs - the auto rate functionality currently does not function for tournaments.
