I don't play many rebuy tourneys. I play on PS.
This evening, I imported my first rebuy tourney into a db I'm trying to create based on information I've verified. I use another db while I'm playing, which has all my HHs, but the money information is way off because of some chopped finishes I didn't go back and adjust and because of some old rebuy activity.
So when I imported this tourney, I remembered this was a rebuy, but neither my rebuy nor add-on were detected. I went thru the HH files (both the 'real-time' and requested version) and see that the chat text that the system generates during play that says, "Player xyz rebuys 3000 chips" or whatever it is, isn't recorded in the HH files. I also see that the starting chip amount isn't recorded anywhere, nor does the tournament type description make any distinction between standard non-rebuy tourneys and those that have rebuy/add-on options.
If I visually scan the HH file, I can see where I've taken a rebuy and/or add-on based on comparing my stack from hand-to-hand. I'm assuming that adding this kind of detection to the software would be rather difficult.
Is this why rebuy/add-ons aren't automatically recognized, at least for PS? Any ideas of what to do about this, other than manually recording them and remembering to go back and update the tourney info?
