hud using up to 30% of cpu with 0 tables open

Hud has been using up obscene amounts of resources for me.. I have tried disabling the cache, and running with it off.. and re-enabling it and letting it build again. Right know I have 0 tables open and it's using between 25 and 40% of my cpu. I have tried the newest beta, and the older "stable" version, neither makes any difference.
