Ring Game Player Stats Lockup

Everything was working fine a few weeks ago, was able to review ring game statistics, log hands, ect. I've been logging hands for a few weeks but I was not reviewing any stats during this period. Today I tried to FILE, then RING GAME PLAYER stats, then in the lower right corner info says "RETRIEVING LIST OF PLAYERS" then "RETRIEVING GENERAL INFO" then locks up. I rebooted the machine and same thing happened; logging hands from pstars still works without error.

I checked for updates and I was using Version 2.17.03b (i think) and saw Version 2.17.03f was available so I downloaded, installed, and rebooted the machine, and tried again. Ring game hand logging from pstars still works without error; however, if I try to access RING GAME PLAYER stats, the program locks up and in my TASK MANAGER in WIN-XP says "program not responding" and I have to quit the program from there to do anything. I've tried rebooting a couple times to no avail.

Its been a while since I've done any database management (compacting etc.) but I dont think I even have 20 or 30k hands since I last did it (not sure if this matters.) So I tried to ONE STEP COMPACT and PT2 holdem locked-up gain.

Not sure what to try.

I let it run for a long time and it finally opened stat windows. It seems like it took a whole lot longer than normal. The Task Manager still indicated the program was not responding during the wait period but changed to running after the stat windows opened. Maybe the data base is getting too large or needs some maintenance although at a few < 200k hands its much smaller than many i know about.

You need to be using the preferences tab to have it only retrieve a subset of the database, based on date, so that's it's not trying to retrieve the entire database everytime the window opens.
