exporting hands

Postby psychobenny » Mon Nov 02, 2009 2:48 pm

So i want to export all the hands from my old PT2 database, which is like 2.4m
I have several problems

1) After exporting like 200k hands my memory gets too low and the export slows down or stops

2) For some reason pokertracker writes a lot files to my main partition c: during the export, but im exporting to another, larger partition.
I think it writes to the postresql/data/pg_log folder and since my partition is not that big, its full after 200k hands too. (theres like 14gb free on
c: when i start, so it writes 14gb during the first 200k hands on c: wtf ?)

Please help me on both problems

Windows XP, PT 2.17.04g, Postgres 8.2

1. Use the filters on the Export Hand Histories To File window to limit what is being exported and export in batches instead all at once.
2. PT only writes files to the folder where you tell it to export to. I don't know what these files are that you are referring to but I can't see why it would be PT writing them and PT certainly doesn't write anything to the pg_log folder. It's possible PostgreSQL is writing these files but that nothing PT controls.
