Power outage during an update

The power was turned off during the database update in the new version and the update was not fully completed.

I'm starting the pt4 now and everything works fine, the HUD is displayed normally, my base size is 30 GB, what specific housekeeping was performed during the update and do I need to do anything else?

At the same time, I can successfully install the previous version and then install the new version; the database update window does not appear.

The database update makes structural changes to your database and then performs some maintenance, so a power loss partway through means we can't assume everything completed, even though PokerTracker opens and your HUD is working normally. Did you backup the database when prompted before the database update? If you backed up your database before the update then you can restore that backup and run the update again from the start so it completes cleanly.

If I didn't make a backup, then nothing else can be done? How about rebuilding the cache?

Unfortunately rebuilding the cache would not change anything in regards to that. If PokerTracker is working normally that's a good sign the update part most likely completed however bear in mind it's possible you might still run into an issue in future. In that case you can create a new database and re-import your hands there.

is it possible to manually initiate a database upgrade and why wasn't this added? :cry:

There isn't a manual option. If you are not receiving any import errors then the database update probably completed - if it did not then it would prompt again. The power outage probably occurred during the maintenance phase so what you can do is go to 'Database -> Database Management'. Click the 'Housekeeping' button and run the following in this order:

1. Reindex
2. Cluster
3. Vacuum/Analyze

After the housekeeping is complete rebuild the database cache via 'Rebuild Cache -> Full Cache Rebuild'. Please note that if your database was damaged as a result of the power outage these steps may not fix that however without a backup you cannot restore the database to its previous state and run the database update again.
