no, im talking about nuumber of buyins.
the confusion comes from the fact that i only play heads up sit n gos. And for me, when you lose your chips, you lose your buyin.
But you aare right, in other tournaments and sit n gos, when you finish 2nd, you win money.
Still, this feature, concerning buyins, is as said before one of the most important things for a sng or mtt player, heads up or not. It has been built in as default in hem for a long time. I am sad that it hasnt even been considered in pt4. Your software is so better in so many areas, its so not cool that this is missing.
Anyway

have a nice day.
Bye.

What is wrong with the ROI stat? Is this different from that somehow?

sorry i dont really know what a ROI stat would look like when graphed, because its not provided by default, and i am too new to pt3 (a few days)to be able to link a stat to a graph for now. (i cant find how to graph a stat)
i already built custom stats for tournament summaries, but hadnt been able to find any graph related stat in "configure stats". And the documentation doesnt say anything about stats that could be seen on a graph (or did i search wrong ?)

I dont think this would give the same result, bu i could be wrong.

to be clear about what im talking, here is a picture. http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/7877/rungoodp.jpg

ROI stands for return on investment. In PT4 we have a default graph which looks like this and shows ROI and ITM (in the money percentage):

found a way to have "number of buyins" graphed with correct numbers.
i duplicated ROI stat, just got rid of the *100 and ticked "sum" in graphing options.

Thanks very much for guidance . That was not exactly roi, but quite close. ( for 1 tourney, ROI/100 = #BI won . but for "all tourneys", you have to use antoher sum method. TotalROI/100 is different of #TotalBuyinsWon. )
I now have a graph with a new "#buyins won" statistic ,
and a new "#buyins" variable appears in all the reports and summaries i want too.
I was underestimating PT capabilities, the more i know it the more im in love. You can do pretty much everything you can think of with your "configure stats" system.
You have a new adept.
bye. and sorry for the disturbance.

edit : perhaps you could delete this thread, it doesnt belong in feature requests.

despite being creatable (most anything is of course), I still believe it is important to have this available as an obvious, included-by-default option for new users. Along with a matching EV-adjusted winnings in buyins.

Hello support.
There seems to be no feedback about this feature.
I think you don't exactly get that having a "buyins" graph is a MUST have for all SNG players. (along with associated EV)
For your information, it looks like this.

it should be a default option. for the moment, we can graph buyins, but not alone on the graph, because its an additional graphed stat
Thanks

How exactly does this stat work if you mix tourmament buyin levels?

For example:

You play 10 $10 tournaments (let's assume no rake for now thanks to math) and win $50.

You play 10 $1 tournaments and win $20.

Does this mean at the end of the graph you would have shown as +25 buy-ins? (50 / 10 + 20 / 1 = 5 + 20 = 25)

yes
for each tournament, number of Bi won = amt_won/ amt_buyin
