Exporting hands - another format

Postby omnomnom » Sun Apr 29, 2012 1:48 pm

The only place where I post hands is liquidpoker.net, sometimes I use a site like weaktight, and there is no way to export hand from PT4 and then see it as it should look like. Meh, this sounds kinda wierd, sorry for my english. Maybe I'll show you what I mean

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/971162 2+2 format
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/971163 txt format - a bit better but still...

weaktight says 'unsupported format'

http://www.pokerhand.org/?6377958 txt format - similar problem to lp

So I'd love to have an option to choose another format for those sites. Ability to share my hands with others is huge deal for me.

I believe the development team are considering adding other export formats but I suspect that may not happen until we've got everything stabilized and other planned functionality added.

Universal Replayer's format is proprietary to the best of my knowledge, we do not intend to support this format. XML is a markup language that defines a set of rules for encoding documents, every XML file format is unique to the designer's intentions. In layman's terms we could say that XML is not a standard file format, it is a language which is used to create a file format. For example PokerTracker uses XML to create some of it's configuration files, but these XML files would not be compatible with Universal Replayer because the database format is different.

The Export formats WhiteRider is referring to is for forums and communities like VB, which is what the 2+2 Forums are based on.
